ABOUT FOUNDER

Meet Vernon P. Davis Jr.

the founder of Morsel Medicine and a wellness advocate whose personal transformation sparked a movement. Vernon once struggled with self-esteem, unhealthy eating patterns, and a dependence on sugary drinks. After being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, he made a life-changing decision: to heal naturally through intentional lifestyle modifications.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, and while adjusting to life
as a new father, Vernon lost 50 pounds and reversed Type 2 Diabetes without medication in 6 months. This journey not only restored his health but also deepened his understanding of behavior change, self-awareness, and stress
management.

The Birth of Morsel Medicine

Morsel Medicine was born from a simple question Vernon asked himself during his health journey:
“What if eating healthy could be simple enough for anyone to follow—every single day?”

From this idea came an innovative, research-guided system:

A portion-control plate and recipe card method that teaches people how to build balanced, healing meals with confidence.

Morsel Medicine combines practical nutrition with habit formation, helping families and communities improve health outcomes one small portion at a time. Today, it serves as a powerful tool for:

  • Individuals seeking a healthier lifestyle
  • Parents who want to model better eating habits for their children
  • Schools and youth programs focused on preventing childhood obesity
  • Fitness centers, nonprofits, and wellness organizations

Founder transformation (reversing type 2 diabetes)

For years, Vernon lived with constant fatigue, weight gain, and unstable blood sugar levels without fully understanding how deeply his eating habits were affecting his health. Like many people, Vernon relied on oversized portions, rushed meals, and confusing nutrition advice that left him feeling frustrated and discouraged.

Everything changed when Vernon was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

Rather than accepting it as permanent, Vernon made a commitment to learn how food truly impacts the body. He began focusing on portion awareness, balanced meals, and consistent daily habits. Vernon simplified what he ate, paid attention to how much he ate, and learned how to nourish his body instead of overwhelming it.

Over time, these small, intentional changes led to powerful results. His blood sugar stabilized, his energy returned, and he was able to reverse type 2 diabetes naturally without prescription medication, extreme diets or complicated programs.

This transformation showed evidence that healing doesn’t come from restriction or perfection. It comes from clarity, balance, and sustainable habits practiced every day. That experience became the foundation of Morsel Medicine and continues to guide everything we create.

Why portion awareness matters

_

Portion sizes have grown larger, plates have become oversized, and nutrition advice has become complicated. As a result, many people eat more than their bodies need—without realizing it. Portion awareness is not about eating less.
It’s about eating right.

When meals are balanced correctly:
• Blood sugar stabilizes
• Energy improves
• Cravings decrease
• Weight becomes easier to manage
• Long-term health improves naturally

Morsel Medicine teaches portion awareness in a way that’s simple, visual, and sustainable for everyday life.

OUR MISSION
